Fraxel Laser

Over the years our skin is exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays, pollution, stress, fatigue and lifestyle factors such as smoking. These are call extrinsic factors and can affect your skin’s texture, colour and firmness. Intrinsic ageing occurs on areas that are covered or protected from these factors.

How does Fraxel work?

Fraxel laser works by sending little columns of laser down into the skin, only treating a fraction of the tissue at once. It is this fractional technology that allows a much faster healing response. The Fraxel laser has two treatment modes. The first is a superficial wavelength that is suitable for treatment of pigmentation, freckles, actinic keratosis, and sun damage. The second uses a deeper wavelength suitable for the treatment of skin texture, surgical scarring, acne scarring, and fine lines. The laser works by stimulating our body’s natural healing process, removing old damaged skin cells and replacing them with healthy new ones to reveal fresh, healthy, glowing skin.
